No you are not. At that rate you will never be able to pay off the equipment let alone make a profit.

That rate is sufficient if you have the proper equip.. You may want to add a few $$$ to the bill but not at the expense of losing customers.

        Hello srlawnservice:

I think You Might be on the Low Side.

Test the Market & Consider 3 to 3.5 Times the Cut. I Had a Few that Would Fuss about 3.5 Times Higher but not Many. It seems that 3 Times the Cut is about Standard!

I guess that depends on how you price your mowing. I currently price aeration at $12/1K sq.ft. More if it's a challenging site, but never less than $50.

            All,

Tks for the input. A few added facts:

            1. We're going to perform the service on specified dates for the community, approximately 1-2 weeks prior to mowing season. For us, that would be early March depending on the winter.
            2. We are renting equipment at approximately 150-175/day.
            3. Several folks have mentioned here we are overpriced for mowing. Avg prop for single family is 7-8K which we get 30-35 to mow. (entire lot size, not just mowing area). I have heard of some folks here getting 50 to aerate a 1/3 acre prop size.

I'm gonna give it a shot at 2-2.5 mowing costs and see what happens....tks again,
            RL
