• How much do you pay for insurance?

Just curious what people pay across the board for insurance and how much coverage they got. I did have 300/600 for $578 now I got 500/mil for $624 and a $250 deductible. This covers pest/herb application/irrigation/mowing/and landscaping.

smilie time!!!

What is your term length? Are those prices for one year? I'm curious because I will soon need to purchase insurance.
Also is that strictly liability or does that cover theft and / or fender benders?

I just renewed my policy for $729. I is a 1 million policy. Mine is a little bit higher because it covers the lawn care (80% of the work) and home repair (20% roofing, hardwood floors and general home repairs). The roofing portion jumps it up a bit due to being off the ground.

Comparing premium is meaningless as premium is the product of receipts X rate, so gross receipts and rate dictates the ultimate price (other than minumum premiums). For GL you need to know the rate per $1000 of receipts and limits in order to compare price. I learned from road builders that the rate is most important when preparing bids (they spend a lot more than LCOs!). The total cost of the job X the rate per $1000 is what the insurance load for a road building job will be. Roadbuilders are always looking for a lower rate, and we should too. Auto is a different story. There are just too many variables to try and compare price for auto. Inland Marine (equipment) is easy, rate again. JD

We are a new company in the Southeast Texas area, and are having problems finding insurance companies that specialize in lawn service companies. Several different insurance companies locally will cover our business, but I'm sure I can get a better price by going through a company who specializes in services like ours. Any names of companies that offer insurance (general liability) would be greatly appreciated.

we switched to erie they didnt base the preminum on gross sales.
They charged us a flatt fee of 219 per each man on the payroll.
We paid a little over 1100$ our policy is for 1mil/2mil.

Dont have pesticide so i would imagine it would be higher if that was included.

Two of us are gonna get our license to put out applications so next year we will be finding out how much extra the pesticide will cost.
