Year round contracts

Hi to everyone
Still haven't had luck acquiring commercial contracts with local businesses. My wife is doing door to door advertising and is having success but still hasn't had any hits with commercial accts. Any suggestions on best way to be heard????

Around here if you don't advertise in the major newspapers your nobody that's where they generate there bid lists from and it is my understanding that is how it is in most places.
