  • christmas cards?

    hey all,
This year, I was thinking about sending out Christmas cards to my (few) customers. This was my first year starting out, so I only have about five or six regulars (if I would have found this forum earlier, I might have had alot more), but I'm very appreciatative of them for getting me started. I thi9nk it would also keep my name fresh in their heads for next year, so it's not entirely selfless. I was just wondering if any of you have done this.

    Hi,
I thought about it last year when I started out, but never got around to it...Couldn't hurt... I have gotten Holiday Greating cards from other business's ie. the oil company, insureance co. etc. I might do it this year.
"(if I would have found this forum earlier," I wish I found this forum earlier myself... I have found ALOT of very useful info here! I'm hoping to double my customer base this fall as far as fall cleanups go. I can't wait for the leaves to start falling!!!

    Good Luck!

Yeah Christmas cards are always nice to get/give. It's good PR and keeps you on their minds for any winter/early spring cleanups. Also the senior citizens seem to appreciate it the most because I always get a call saying "thank you, you're such a nice young man" or I get a Christmas card to hang on my wall. The problem I've found is people think you should give them a discount card with it!

I have sent out Christmas Cards since I have started 3 years ago. It works out pretty well. Just remember to send generic holiday cards. Everyone doesn't recognize Christmas the same way. Most everybody recognizes it as the holiday season.

I send out something like "Have a joyous holiday season" or "happy holidays and prosperous new year". The graphics should also be generic holiday season type, like a snow scene.

This is just a suggestion. It has worked for me so far.[]

Thanks Maddog, that's a good suggestion. I don't know any of my customers religious beliefs, so I'll keep that in mind. Thanks to Scott and Bill645 also.
