Amarillo:
If you are from Amarillo, it might be tough about this time of year. If you have many leaves, you could send out fliers for fall cleanups (or have them inserted in your local paper). If you are licensed to spray pesticides, fall ferts and pre-m's. If you are licensed to do irrigation, that can be year around work, especially in new developments. You can also offer pressure washing. If not, then plan an advertising strategy for the spring and start it in about February. If none of these are appealing to you, and if you are from Amarillo, try to hire yourself out as a hired hand for the cotton harvest. I bet they have either started or are about to start the cotton strippers up great guns. Sorry I can't help more without more info on your situation.Rob

Produce a flyer listing all services that you offer. Hand deliver it around specific neighborhoods. I would distribute aproximately 2000 flyers, which should lend you some good leads to work. When you begin to pick up a few new ones, do your best job at their home and offer them incentives for referrals. I hihgly recommend hand delivering it around specific nieghborhoods to avoid getting new clients spread out all over the county. It doesn't you no good to have 10 residential clients that are all 15-20 minutes apart from each other. You will end up spending way too many hours traveling and too much on petro getting there. Also, if you hand deliver them, you have the possiblity of talkign to some of the people which can be drastically more effective. Especially if you are a good salesman. You may also want to offer something on that flyer such as a free cut for new clients that sign a one year contract. Use that free cut as a chance for them to try out your service and determine if they want to keep you. Do a good job and they will. Just make sure they inderstand up front that the cut is only free with the signature on a one year contract or something. Otherwise you will be giving free cuts to the whole neighborhood.
