i bought my business in August - they had no insurance in place. i called my broker, one quote was $12,000/yr, many declined. Finally, she found National Insurance Programs / Plaza Nine / 900 Route 9 North / Suite 503, Woodbridge NJ 07095 - 800-446-7647 FAX: 634 - 2904. They were able to get me a reasonable quote of $3381.00 with Specialty National Insurance Co.
I don't know if they write policies for your state, but some advice: first, talk to an insurance broker who comes highly recommended; do NOT give your age unless required; be CONSERVATIVE in revenue estimates.
