i think the best advertising is finding a house that could use some work and talk to the homeowner and layout what you can do for them at a reasonable cost. thats what we do and we get more business that way than anything else. i have also put together brochures which you can do on publisher. flyes are excellent especially with the phone number tabs.

that question can be answered in so many ways depending on your target.

- Word of mouth is always great advertising
- Visualization; The look of your truck. Cleanliness, organinzed, nice lettering, Cleancut looking individual sitting in the cab, etc... Uniformed crew

- newspapers/thrifty nickel/etc... have always gotten me the lower end jobs and people wanting crap done for free.
- flyers can work for targeting a neighborhood
- post cards aka direct mailing is also a way to target a neighborhood
- bizness cards are a must, ya gotta have em.
- internet, won't do you much good to get new clientiel, unless you stress the viewing of your site for prospects and then I wouldn't even do that unless your targeting commercial

- Networking has always been good for me. My little circle of friends know what we all want, to make some good coin. We weed out the crap jobs for each other and point out the good ones. My network consists of a multitude of subs contractors. My best one to date has unfortunately died due to cancer (didn't even make it to 30) and he was a pool guy.
