flyers layout?

hey all, well i know that yellow and black ink will attract the most eyes, but to have a successful flyer you must have clever writing scheme and layout, to much jumble will be thrown away and not enough info will leave questions unanswered. was wondering if you could help me lay one out with ideas and examples. if you have a form of what you use or similar thereof. thanks for the help

This is my fall flyer.. Its simple, yet it gets the point across.. I had 3000 of these printed on golden rod paper with black ink. So far, 37 calls and I have been hired for all of them... Also got 3 new mowing contracts for next season...
