If I'm driving around handing out flyers guess that would depend on the lawn. I'm stealing Erich's idea of colored flyers and changing it a bit. Different colors will represent one main service but at the bottom of all my flyers there is a list of other services offered.

Another thing that works great is having door knob hangers printed up that you can hang on doors in areas that you would like to pick up additional accounts.
There are brochure sheets that can be printed out on your computer that you can customize, but I found the cost of the printer toners was about the same as going through the local printer.
Good luck,

what im doing is a few friends and i are going to make flyers where we are advertise our companys on the same flyer but in our own diff section of the flyers . mine will be lawn service another friend is doing fertilizing and the other does pest control. but tell me if this is stupid im putting my lowest rate on the flyer for examper it could say this lawn service starting at now in big numbers $25 then beside it per week but i want the $25 to stand out.then im also putting what i do for 25 so its clear and under that im putting other services also avalible. excuse my spelling. plus i think its good teaming up with other guys that do services like the ones i mentioned unless u do ur own fertilizing. cause that way we can help each others buisness grow.

Qualitylandscaping,
Tried doing the fliers in the newspaper slot, the problem I ran into is that few of the mailboxes actually have a newspaper slot. And if you open to mailbox to slip an innocent flier into the actual box then it just became a federal offense and can get your butt into a crack. True, some houses do have funny door knobs and those I will sometimes skip. But the ones that are just technically impossible to hang a flier on are few and far between.
I do like Sunrise's idea of putting the magnet on the back of the flier and physically attaching the flier to the mailbox. Hadn't thought of that one before but don't see why if wouldn't work.

Fearthedear,
First give me a little background.
What is your advertising budget like $$$$? What are your local demographics? (Population size, age, gender, race, income, ect) What have you tried in the past? What response did you get? What equipment do you currently have? (Not specifics but aerator, dethacher, size mower, ect.) Do you have a pesticide applicators license? Have you checked the prices to advertise in the phone book, local paper, radio ads, ect? If so what is the cost.
I got a long list of advertising ideas that I have picked up on from watching the local's advertising. If you need any ideas let me know and i'll get back to you.“veni, vidi, vici.â€
