  • When to start advertising?

We live in the Mountains of NC and are lawn season is about mid March to the end of November. I was wondering when other LCO start puting out flyers and business cards to pick up more accounts. Also does anyone have good ideas to add to flyers? Does LCO add aprox. Pricing? Please tell me what you other LCO put on your flyers for the start of the year?
    Thank-You!

      Affordable,

Have you used the "search" feature yet? There's alot of good posts on when to advertise, what to include, methods, etc.

Your season is similar to mine (Western NY). I start advertising in mid February..

I haven't had good luck with flyers or door hangers, so I quit doing them. I start my newspaper ads about mid Feb. I also run phone book ads which come out in early March.

I have found that in my area (western PA) the best advertising is in the local newspaper and of course the best anywhere would be word of mouth! my mowing season is the same as yours and i usually start my ads in the paper around the second week of february. I also have found out that the bigger the add in font size and bolder withless wording also works best. i never put any pricing in my ads either. Good Luck!!!
