  • Need Help!

I'm new on the block. I live in sunny Florida and I have decided to start my own lawn service by my self, just residential right now till I build up. But what is the best way to get customers?

Welcome, and I hope you find all the answers you are looking for, there are several veterans here on the Forum from your state. Tell us a little about the type of equipment that you presently have, type mower, vehilce, trailer, blower, and that will be a start. Do you presently have a list of customers or perspective customers. Any questions you can think of ask away, as someone will be able to help you. Do not hesitate to ask, because that is the only way to learn, and people here are patient and helpful.

Just exactly where are you in Florida?

A good tool to use on this forum is the search feature. Type in "advertising".

Well I haven't bought any tools yet. I'm not sure whats good and whats not. I have the money but I don't want to waste it on poor tools. Do you have any suggestions?

Good luck, I have a bud here doing his reserve time here and says that due to all the illegal aliens down there working w/o proper licenseings and will work for a fraction of what they should be getting, it's a very tough market. Best way to get business is word of mouth.

I got to second Scott's last post. You are in a tough market area. Prices in residential work are very completive. Commercial work requires more skill and certification. Best advice I can give you is go to work for some one else and learn the biz.

PS. Si usted no habla los españoles escogen otra profesión. If you don't speak Spanish pick another profession.
