Pre approach letters

Greetings,
I'm new to the business full time and would like to cultivate some small commercial accounts, specifically churches in my community, and later branching out to other commercial accounts. I was wondering if anyone had a good pre-approach or prospecting letter that they have used in the past? I am doing a mass insertion in our local paper next week and am running an ad on our local cable info station. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

in my area, the larger churches 200+ members have already bid out their jobs as part of their annual budgeting process. it usually starts around october for the following spring season...
