    I've heard some people talk about sales tax, you don't charge sales tax on cutting grass do you??? Is that just if you spray or maybe mulch.?? Dont realy know, would someone please help with this, thanks. Gotta Frame

    In Iowa you have to charge sales tax when you mow or preform any lawn related service. I think most states are thre same way, but you need to check with your own state tax office.

        In our state you only charge sales tax, if indeed you are selling a product to a customer. If you are only charging for a labor charge then why would you charge sales tax. If you do charge a sales tax for retail or wholesale products that you provide, then you will need a sales & use tax registration number.

          Its usually just on anything you leave behind. Round-up,junipers,shovels? Just tax on materials.

            in PA we have to charge sales tax on mowing and other lawn services.
