Should I make my customers sign a contract so they can't can me in the middle of the season? What do you guys do to guarantee your spot for the year? Need some suggestions...Thanks

I always make my customers sign a yearly contract. I have a 30 day written cancelation period on my contracts. Most customers will not switch companies if they are happy with you. You need the 30 day cancelation period so you can get yourself out of the contract if you need to. Especially if you underbid a job, or have a problem with the customer. You could put a clause in the contract that says "contract is subject to cancelation by contractor with a 5 day written notice". Something so that you can get out of it if you need to.“veni, vidi, vici.†-
