I'm just starting out this year and was wondering what type of advertising will work best in my first year? I figured on newspaper ads,Flyers,and business cards. I might be to late for the yellow pages but is this worth the money? Thanks for any help!

what type of advertising works? By far the best way is door to door with business cards. Just be prepared for a little rejection at some places. Some people might be a little rude about it, but if you keep at it you will get many more accounts in person. Once you get a customer base, word of mouth will be your best advertisement. Good luck!

Like TerraCare said door to door works okay for small commercial and like he said ignore and get over the rejection thing ... eventually you'll run into someone who will "welcome" you and want a bid and could land you a big contract. Try to spread your advertising budget around a little ... not rely on any one single method ... door hangers work good, some direct mail at a small but highly targeted area (mail often to the same list) ... then small town newspaper ads ... and spend some money on a first class ad on your truck.
