          Hello Everybody:

If it's a Good Flyer that gets a Great Response Rate, anything over 2%...

Why not share it with the Forum Members? I'll be glad to put it in the "FREE for your Business Forum", So all the Forum Members may have access to it!

I have really learned so much from this forum! It is great to talk with business owners who know the ins-and-outs of lawn and landscaping. Thank you.

Hello, new to the board, but not the business. The flyer method that I am using is this.....

I purchased thousands of clear merchandise 9" x 15" door hanging bags for next to nothing. After locating a cheap online printer cartridge supplier online, I print off thousands of flyers. Not expensive, just a little time consuming. I stuff the bags and hang them on a mailbox hook (below the box) and then drive on. Or, you can hang them on the door. Now the benifit of this is that everyone walking to and driving by the mailbox sees what the flyer states before they can even throw it away. 100% visability, and a full size advertisment for next to nothing, all custom made.

Dang u people. Just go to the free for you and your business. They have some examples there. There are so many email addresses on this thread that i could start a series of chain letters that would go on for years.

                        Help?

I'm still in college but I've been working for a lawn care service for the past 2 years. It's just me and another guy. I do all the work so I figure I could start my own business. I'm looking to attract new customers and was wonder if anyone had any successful flyer designs, ideas, or programs. I was also wondering how many I could handle. I'm thinking about getting a cub cadet rtz 50 to start and used to working 12 hour days. I think I could mow them once every two weeks, all residential. Any flyer ideas would be greatly appreciated matthew.pietraszewski@umit.maine.edu

You can download the template and use word to design and print on your own computer/printer.

oh boy. stick to subdivisions, you gotta be persistent and put out a crap-load of flyers.

Should I go door to door in neighborhoods instead of shopping centers, walmarts, etc. I did put out 300 flyers in a nice subdivision and didn't receive any calls. How can I get success out of my flyers?

                              Newby here!

I'm in a slightly different discipline than most of you as I operate a Tree Service Firm. Those of you having poor success garnering new business with your door hangers might try adding a red ink stamp offering a 10% discount on your initial "cleanup" visit. You need to have something that gets their attention and hooks them. If they have a lawn service already, why do they need you? What can you do for them that there other guy isn't already doing? The discount just might perk their interest if they think they can save a buck so maybe they'll call you and at least give you the opportunity to bid their maintenance. The rest is up to you when you get your foot in their door. You need to be better than the "other guy" and unfortunately in some cases, maybe cheaper, at least initially.
