Talked to a guy that already has a lawn care up and running. He doesn't offer any landscape services which I will-

What are your thoughts and combining or should I just take referrals from him (landscaping)

I still want to mow and plan on this being a one man operation for the first couple of years.

Stay on your own! You will be much better off in the long run. You will make much more money. If he will give you refferals, take them and be very happy.

How many times does it seem like a grand idea to partner up with someone who could help your business emensly?

That's the initial thought right? Further down the road you'll just run into conflict which could....err I mean WILL spin your business to a standstill.

Be happy, be your own boss. If this guy wants to give your name to his clients for scaping, feel honored! But don't tread on his territory in the process (i.e. attempting to steal his lawn work away). Stay on his good side and you'll be awarded for a long long time!

That is exactly what I plan on doing Master. I want to somehow convince him to give me referrals for landscaping but do my own mowing thing. I would not intrude on his territory (anything he mows).

I am going to snow remove this winter for him. So I will get a better understanding of what he is thinking soon.

If it every snows - damn global warming

Maybe offer him a small percentage for the jobs he gets me??
