  • Newspaper inserts

I had run ads in the paper with fair results. This year right after Christmas I sent out some direct mail to clients (yes, they all got Christmas cards, this was a follow up letting them know about referrals and rewards for them) and a few to parishoners of a church that I take care of. I was also thinking that inserts in the paper would be a good idea because not everyone reads the service directory. I am real anxious about this coming year as it will be full time make it or break it kinda thing. Anyone done this?? Advice???

    Thanks!

    Other Advertising

okay, no hits on the newspaper inserts... I really thought that someone would have used their local paper to deliver their ads/fliers.

Around here we have something like a thrifty nickel or smart shopper that puts together small ads from local business' and mails them out to everyone in the city. The one that I am looking at goes to more than 14,000 homes. It goes out once a month. They get $350 for a 1/4 page and $175 for an 1/8 page. I dont think I could afford to go any bigger so I wont quote those prices. Has anyone ever tried this kind of advertising? When I talked with the rep, lawn care would be a first for them. Any thoughts??? Anyone tried this approach?

i had thought about that here but i would rather target specific neighborhoods. i already get enough crap calls from a yellow page block add. just recently i put an add in a HOA newsletter . maybe you should check into that.

Nothing around here that I am aware of that is of real size. I know of two HOA's that are about 10 condos each. I am interested in one, but heard from another that used to take care of it that its a real pain. 10 older women all wanting something different and freebies when your there.

don't you have any of those neighborhoods where they have all these rules and regulations with everybody having the same mailbox and all the other bull**** that they have to do near you ? the one i'm doing has about 750 homes in it and i have a few others that have about 300 to 400 in them that i'm checking into.

Not in this area. Small town that refuses to grow up. I do know what you are talking about though.
