Hey guys I wanted to get your input on what you are doing on just a mow blow and go. Right now we only offer a full landscape package that includes everything weed control, shrubs, spring clean up, fertilizer etc.... This next year I'm going to offer a just mowing edge and trim package. I've had to turn people away because we did they didnt want the whole package. and I dont like to turn people away when money is there to be made.

This year Im starting up another crew that is going to be doing just mow blow and go yards. I think I can have it to about 60 yards by the end of the summer. what would be a good number to shoot for in a week most of the yards here are small and take about 20 to 30 min max.

If you set everything up right, there is no reason why a devoted crew of 2 couldn't mow more than your 60 lawn goal. I'd shoot for somewhere around 90.....but thats figured off my small town USA setting. Your in Ft Worth, surely you'd have substansially more windshield time than here.

while were on the subject of crews mowing a certain number of lawns. what do you think would be a good number to shoot for being a one man crew? i was thinking about shooting for 60-80. it'll be a mow, blow go deal. thats what i mostly do now anyway. i prun some shrubs now and then and do some edging but mostly mow, string trim and blow.

The reason I say 60 is that we have some current contracts that im going to put on that crew and free up my other crew for all the commercial properties. That way I can keep one crew focused on everything with the HOA's theres alot to do out at them.

My drive time is going to be minimum Im right outside of ft worth. a majority of the homes we pick up is with in a 10 mile radius of my shop.
