  • Meeting with customers

I'm just curious about how many times will you meet with a customer over a little 10k landscape job?

I think I have talked to her and him a total of 8 times, answered 3 emails and personally met with them twice. The only reason I haven't brushed them off just yet is because it's a new construction site and that ground hasn't become compacted yet.

You should try to sell $500 to $800 Honda & Snapper mowers. I've spent a total 14 hours time with a Young Doctor trying to sell him a $600 Honda mower & told him he wouldn't be happy with it. He brought it back & 2 hours later purchased the $800 one. Now how much money could he make in that amount of time?

The average $300 Plus bicycle customer makes 3 visits for roughly an hour each before making a purchase. I had a bike customer come in yesterday & bought a tube for $3.95 plus tax & got mad at me because we wouldn't install it for free because he bought the tube from us, I told him to go get them to do it at the Mart store.

I have customers all the time wanting me to look up the phone number & dial the number so they can call & see if they can buy a mower or trimmer cheaper at Home Depot or they ask me can they get it cheaper there?

Talking about compacted soil? Have you ever dug a hole where Chihuahua's have wore a path running around the back yard.
