I have been checking out some of the lawn service specific software programs and have noticed one thing that is similar to all of them. They all go by the customer's name or the date of cut. I live in a big city and most of my lawns are grouped together. I could have 9 or 10 lawns on one block for instance. When I go out every week (or every other for some of my homes), I cut according to the street not according to the person's last name. Why is it that none of the software lets you do a search by street.

For instance :
8200 Cottage St. Mr Smith
8202 Cottage St. Mrs Jones
8206 Cottage St. Mr Brown
8208 Cottage St. Mrs Johnson

If I could do a search by street, it would be so much easier. Has anyone else come across this problem or is it just specific to my type of environment (large city with many lawns on a block)?

I use Gopher2003 http://www.gophersoftware.com and I can set up the routes however I want. Basically all you have to do is go into the route page and you can drag and drop customers to the proper position and then when you print out your scheduled daily jobs, it comes out just the way you want it. I used to do this by hand and it was such a pain.
