  • Making a flier that works

I was wondering does anyone have any ideas about how to make one. I mean I know how to do it in WORD but what should it say how should it look ?

keep it simple, and the most important thing is when and where you pass them out. the begging of the season is the best time but you should still try. If you would like anymore assistance please feel free to email me at spirkn@kc.rr.com

A good flyer does this ...

        1. Captures attention
        2. Engages the reader
        3. Focuses on the reader's needs
        4. Asks for action (call me, etc.)
        5. Is directed on the element of (you) not me.*

        * what can I do for you? ... not ... hey everybody this is what I do.

        Good luck,
        Phil

I did see it yes. I was not into the whole stacking up stuff in front of the door. I belive that is funny in theory but if I was the customer I would just haul it off myself and never have you come back again and tell everyone how much of a jerk you are.

I was looking for things that would work long term. The free 7th time is great but like I said I am brand new and trying to get my foot int he door and some people just see the 7th time free and think well. I am not going to use hi 7 times I will find a guy or kid up the street to do it on a one time basis...

I just wanted more ideas is all.

I was also curious why all of my post's get moved ?where most people do not look ?

Alittle more specific would be nice lol... I would love to see one someone has made or one off a link something to actually base it off of the forum etc. I am wondering the turn out on detailed as opposed to less specific.

C'mon fella's alittle help here.... I bet if I was two girls and a truck asking I would have had 40 posts by now and 50 numbers.

Well the reason why your posts get moved, or at least this one, is because it deals with advertising and GreenMaster likes to keep things in area specifics

You probable started out by putting it here...

And it went here, because it deals with advertising...

If I were making a door hanger or flyer ...

                    1. I would use black ink on yellow paper
                    2. I would ask a question to engage the reader such as ...

When you think of the great outdoors what comes to mind? If you’re like most people you think relaxation, green lawns, flowers, a beautiful place to be.

We can help you enjoy the great outdoors this summer by providing you with the ultimate in lawn care service. The cost is great too! For about the same amount of money that you now spend , you can have the results you’re after without doing any of the work!

                    Best regards,
                    Phil

                      look at www.postcardwarehouse.com

They have great products and a few examples.

Check with them or your local print shop, but sometimes color can be as cheap as black and white. Postcard warehouse has excellent prices on color door hangers and flyers.
