A name says a lot! The name of your Lawn Care company is usually the first impression customers get.

What are your company names?

What are some good ideas for a Lawn Service name?

I was going to use my last name (like many others do), but I would also like a unique name too.

Lawn Care, Lawn Service, Lawn and Landscape etc.??

I would change it if I could, but I have too much tied in to that name (Shirts, busi. cards, letterhead, etc.). That is the name that I picked 5 years ago. I would try to stay away from your name, initials (like mine), or anything pertaining to your personal life. Go with something like Snowy Leaf Landscaping or something like that. It gives a more professional sound to it...I THINK! For what it's worth...that was my opinion.

I don't know I liked the ring of it when I first thought of it. I wonder sometimes though, if it seems kind of silly to a potential customer.

So be it, I got a bunch of stuff tied into it as well (signs, shirts, biz cards, invoices)

We are Maple City Lawn Care. Our city is known as the "Maple City", and there are lots of businesses that use the name. So, when Grandma looks in the phone book for Maple City Mechanical or Maple City Heating & Cooling, she may see our name and call us for her lawn.

it's catchy, easy to remember and I bet nobody has that name. If I didn't have so much tied up in mine I'd use it.

I use my last name and "Lawn Service". I also have a lot tied up in the shirts, signs etc. to change it. It has worked well for me because a lot of people know me around the area so they feel more comfortable with it. Three of the biggest lawn companies in the area use their name and it has worked out well for them.

I sometimes wonder, if I had a catchier name if it would have worked out better. Like "Azalea Lawn and Landscaping", “Down East Lawn and Landscaping" or "All Seasons Lawn and Landscaping".

1. My last name and "Lawn and Landscaping"

2. "Advanscape Lawns"

3. My last name and "LawnScape"

Most of the companies in my area use a last name or a first name: "Tim's Lawn Care"

---I do think that having the basic service that you offer in the name is important. example: lawn care, lawn and landscape, lawn service...etc...---

I would like to use "Lawn and Landscape" because it keeps that landscape option open when you need it.

Try not to Limit Your Business Name to one Service. Because what will you be doing 5 Years from Now?

If I was to start a Lawn Service Business Today, I know 5 Years from now I Would Possibly Be doing a lot of Chemical Apps, Aerations & I might even be Doing Total Outdoor Property Maintenance!

It would be Hard & a Full time job for one person to cut a $100,000 a Year in Properties! Very Hard Money!

It would be Easy & a Part Time Job for one person to Fert & Squirt a $100,000 a year in Properties! Big Money!

Most Lawn Service Companies Evolve over Time!

I was Paid $10,000 just for My Company Name, GrassMaster's Lawn Maintenance. Company Names have a Worth if Used Properly!

In 1992 I paid $20,000 just for the Name & Good Will of "Jordan's Bicycle & Lawn Mower" The Company Started out as "Jordan's Bicycle & Hardware Store"

It was Established in 1903! Names like this a very rare. I have Customers that have been doing business for over 65 Years at my Shop, I have Customers that are in their 80's & their First Bicycle was Purchased at our Shop!

What do you think I would have got paid for my Company Name if it was Fiveash's Lawn Service? Not Much! LOL, Nobody could remember it or even spell it!

GrassMaster Had a Ring to it, it was very easy to remember & Easy as Dell to Spell!

Are you a franchisee from them? If not, I sure wouldn't advertise your name too much on here (the internet). They'll have you in litigation and shut your name down in the blink of an eye.
