Hey guys and gals, how long does it take you to hand out 500 flyers?

I'm heavily preparing for next years advertising and I haven't handed out flyers door-to-door in years. Haven't needed too until now...but now I'm ready for a major expansion again. Can anyone give me an estimate on man power hours to throw out 500 flyers, walking door to door in a sub please? Thanks, this one is really appreciated.

If its just one sub-division and houses are ~100-200' apart your probably looking at about 1 min per flyer which would be 500 minutes which would be alittle over 8 hours if you hustle..

I usually drive around and put them in newspaper boxes.. Can do 500 in about 2-3 hours.. But no getting out of the truck!

I usually average about 180 per hour by truck. If I do them door to door in small sub divisions with 4-7K lawns I can do about 100 an hour.

I've been able to do about 200 in one and one-half hour. If their close I can do about 300 in two hours. but this is hustling with no breaks. Just keep on walking.

It took me and someone else 6 hours to pass out 400 flyers, but that was lots of "in there face" time. We would knock on the door and talk to them. The morning of, we went out at 6:00 and handed flyers out to people as they went to work. We got a lot of business that way. It can be kind of hard to get yourself to do that but, hey you want business right?
