  • Getting the Flyers out there??

What's the best way to get your flyers out there. I recieved a not so friendly call from the post office saying keep your flyers of our mail boxes. Going door to door will just take to long. What do you guys do any ideas? (any other ideas other than flyers to get your name out there too)

It is a Federal Law that you can't put flyers In Mailboxes or mailslots. The government actually "owns" them.

That said, you can place them in doors, on doors, railings, etc...
    Do what Pizza shops do:
Have some local kids do them for $5.00 an hour. You should get a lot done that way. Just make sure that you trust them.

Doorknob hangers. There is a good website: www.nebs.com

The prices are pretty decent. They'll even send you all kinds of free samples.

I am going to try direct mailing the beginning of next year.

      Hey there,
Another thing you could do is get some post cards made and send them I think it is about .20 cents to send a post card. You can go to the goverment sight and get the address for people who pay taxes in you area. Another Idea and this is something that we did is we got 2,000 glossy brocures with before and after pictures made and went to all the realitys around and put them in the inhouse mailboxes for each realitor with a business card. This worked great!!!

      Hope this helps out
      Thank-You!

Why don't you just put them into the "paper box"? Not the mail box. That's the place to put your advertising. Go to the office forum and check out the links to good advertising pricings. 5000 full color 6x4 post cards full color both sides for about $$300-$400. Just pop these into the paper boxes if your looking for speed.

I put all my flyers in between the mailbow and the flag and no ones ever said anything to me about it.

One of my neighbors has a large paper route. An older couple, "retired." Huge paper route. He was telling me that he sees flyers in the boxes, and sometimes he will just throw them on the ground. This will make you, the flyer deliverer, look like the slob.
I usually hang them on the door, it takes longer, but they are sure to see it.
