Door hangers in the snow!

uhm.. Would you guys start putting out door hangers about your lawn care if your city has snow?

or would you wait til it's season or it clears up?

I have snow in my city right now, but it won't last forever!

Snow will be gone ina few days, but I dont offer snow removal service because we only get snow a few times a year!

So, would hanging door hangers be a stupid thing to do right now with the weather?

Most residentials don't think much about lawn care until it is about time. A time for good response is on the first warm day, a day without snow and a day where people might think they want to go outside.

I would hold off if you have snow on the ground.

The best advice for hangers/flyers is to repeat the same places over and over.

Wouldn't the residents be irritated that you kept hanging the door hangers in the same places more then say, twice?

What would this accomplish? Just so that people know that you're in the neighborhood?

People may not be ready to buy when you put your hanger out. Most will throw it away. You need to hit them again about a month after the first hanger. They may be ready then.

Keeping your name in front of them and making them think of YOUR company when the need arises will get you that first call.

If they think of outdoor work, they need to think of you. Them seeing your name only one time will not get you the name recognition that you need. They need to be "familiar" with your company, by seeing your name several times.

I agree Elwood. How many times have you seen a commercial played just once. Never.

Repetition is the key here.

I get flyers for the same pizza place over and over. I'll usually throw the first one out, because we have so many pizza places around me. Then when I get the second or third one I say Why not give them a try? That's how I am and how most people are also. Repetition.
