you know it doesn't have to be that drastic. I lost out on a chain of stores to a company that pays to have an image that stands out. Their employees wear either bright pink shirts or bright fluorescent shirts. Very loud designed trucks and so forth. you can't miss em and I'll never forget them.

Pros ... don't stand out ... they all look alike ... like 10,000 guys in biz suits marching down sidewalks from the subway in New York City ...

If you want unusual results ... use unusual methods.

I think a lot of people are hesitant to stand out in a crowd for fear of being different, drawing ridicule ... but with advertising ... there is so much of it pounded into our heads day and night in print media, web, radio, billboard, ( door hangers ) TV ... you need to be really diff to catch attention ... and get biggest bang for the buck.

                      Phil

I bet if Phil and GM wore bright pink shirts, posted them all over the web and printed something to the effect of,
"visit us at Lawnserviceforum.com, we'd like to talk to you"

we'd double the # of hits daily.

This particular company always made a presence. All their employees wear the same colored shirts whenever I saw them. Sometimes hot pink, sometimes lime but they always matched. Their trucks(cabovers) are really done up nice too. They've obviously been around the block and know how to sell.

They always looked very professional, no long wild hair and if they did have long hair they wore company baseball caps and not to mention, then always did a fairly good job.
