i have a question about getting paid by the cut, and by getting paid by the month? first off, if you get paid by the job , you have to chase the person to get the bill, but you have the money in your hand, where as if you get paid at the end of the month you have approx 30 days with no cash flow? i don't know, maybe i don't understand how to do it? someone please help?

        Phil,

Is it really worth it for a solo operator to offer that service.

I only do this part time and have 54 small lawns. Very few of them want to be billed monthly for the same reason some people don't want to bill monthly. Cash Flow. They have the money then and want to pay then.

This IS business. Bill them monthly, just like the Cable Company or the Electric Company. Remember, YOU are NO DIFFERENT!

Offer CC payments. Check around, the cost is miminal and the money is in your account in 2 business days.

Chasing a client every week takes up a ton of time, time you need to be working.
Jeeps are like women.....much more fun with their TOPS OFF!

jm, you can look at it this way. how valuable is your time? even though i'm not always really busy, my time is worth more than
37 cents. if they don't come running out of the house with money in hand when you are ready to leave, send them a bill. just my thoughts.
