Something else you can do. Sell ServiceMagic. Last I heard, they were looking for sales reps. Commission Only. Just sign people up on-line. I believe that you get most of the initial $100 sign-up fee.

Thats exactly why they didnt get me to sign. When i spoke w/ them i got a guy. Very very fast talker. I could tell he could hardly control himself,, couldnt wait to get my CC #. Would not answer that question directly. 3 times he shifted the conversation to "what kind of work i was looking for". I never did get a straight answer on that. For all i know ill be bidding against 10 others. Pure waste of time and resources if thats the case. It was important to find that out. 4 aint to bad but 3 sounds better. But like i said he wouldnt answer the question and actually appeared deceptive on the subject. He made it sound like he could shoot me 30 leads a week no problem. Didnt have any trouble answering that one. I hope it works out for Lin,, if it does i may try 1 particular zip,, maybe 2.

Here in Dallas I met a lady who was in charge of a leads clubs. Left her card told me to call asap. I thought it was a lawn customer at first. Not quite, this club turned out to be the biggest pain I could even imagine. You met like evey Wednesday around lunch, and talked about business and ate your sack lunch. For one it was no where near my jobs. And all the others members were office types. Im sure they wouldnt like me rolling in after just mowing ten lawns at lunch time. Just seemed like a hose. I still get emails from them wanting me at the meetings. Weirdos.............

              1 lead

Got one lead it was a good lead but I did not want to do the job long drive and steep hill. But remember I live in a small area so I did not expect to get many. so that about it now

I've used ServiceMagic to find contractors to do work on our house. It has been a good service from the customer standpoint as in our area it isn't always so easy to get home repair people to show up (plenty of business for them), and the ServiceMagic contractors have showed up and done very good work.

Also, ServiceMagic offers the customer a guarantee on the work - like up to $400 - provided that the customer and the service provider execute a contract detailing the scope of the project before the job is performed. That is a nice plus for a customer. It may not be so useful for general lawn services, but for that big job.

I did a specific search in this forum for ServiceMagic as I was wondering if they would be a good way to find customers for lawn services. Looks like it isn't great, but not bad either?

                Any updates on leads received?
