I have found out that my local paper does inserts. They charge between 45-50 dollars per k inserted and they do all the printing. Min order is 10k. They also do a 3"x4" post it note one color. that costs about $75 per k with min order of 10k. I was thinking of going with the post it because it goes right on the front page. Has anyone ever done this befor. I have seen topics her about the inserts but whats everyones thoughts on using the post it on the front page. I would think that there is a better chance of being seen.

If that's the case, I wouldn't waste any time getting them in there!!

I'm putting 12,000 inserts in the Tulsa world for $48/1000, but I have to print my own. When it's all said and done it will cost me aroung $1,100. I'm crossing my fingers!

Guessing that the post it note is better way to go ... better chance of being seen ... only say this because I myself spend less and less time reading or even opening up a paper except for the small town papers once in a while. If you do it ... try to negotiate a lower price, offer 50% or 60% of their asking price ... see what happens. I have no statistics on it but suspect newspapers are getting less and less attention overall ... who knows?

My paper company sends out 8200 papers a day I am going to send 3000 one day this week. What day should I send my flyer in the paper. They are going to let me call the night before If the weather looks bad. I was thinking Saturday Sunday or Monday. Please give me some advise.

friday saturday or sunday. Thing about sunday though,, sometimes people automatically assume your "closed" sundays. So they dont call till monday,, or foreget than call another in the next paper.

Post its are the square or rectangle colored paper that you write a note on and it has a little area on the back that is sticky.

In other words they will glue a 3" x 4" piece of paper onto the front of 10k papers with my advertisement.

LOL I knew what post its are i use millions I just didn't understadn how they did this with the paper. That is very interesting I have never seen that here I will check and see if they do anythign like that seems like a very good idea

I have never seen them used but it jolted my mind when I was looking atr my papers rate sheet and what they off for advertising

Maybe I just worry but I sent those 2000 color flyers out on Saturday and put about 200 more out myself on Saturday and have yet to recieve a call hopefully I will get a few on monday. We will see.

Today is Monday and still no calls. Maybe I just hit everybody at the wrong time. Oh well I will try another method soon.
