  • Billboards!!!!

Has any one every done a billboard advertisement? I know down in the south they are all over the place. I looked into pricing and for that size ad it does not seem too bad but I dont want to spend that kind of money with out the return.

My opinion. Billboards are normally located on Interstates or major highways. You need to concentrate your advertising to the areas that you want to service.

True, but here in ocala fl we have 4 main roads that lead to all your business. Another words 2 run east-west and 2 north-south. Off of these roads you will find all of your clients. I agree that you have to keep your advertising infront of your potential clients.

        billboards

Well not sure down there but for the price of one here i can rent a shop LOL

Not real sure the impact but if what u are saying are true and everyone has to drive by it that lives in town and the rates are cheaper then ours I would say it would be good advertising

          billoards

Hey in my area there is a road named clay road it's sorta of a highway and gets very busy in the afternoon i cant even turn left from my own street after about 5 min. but any way i know this older lady very well who has a antique shop but it's closed plus a house she lives in next to the shop and has these two different sizes of billbaords and she let's me use them for free!!! i will use the smaller one becuase I don't want to have billboard traffic and it's still very readable i'm pretty sure i can get accounts doing it like this what do ya'll think about this? Am i lucky or what?

Find a vacant corner lot, at an intersection near some target neighborhoods. Contact the owner and work out a deal to keep the lot mowed in exchange for allowing you to place a sign on the property. I had a 4X8 sign professionally painted which gives me great exposure and a place for people to get my number if they forget. Occasionally I put streamers on the sign or something seasonal just to draw attention.

My cost was so much less than an ad in the phonebook or paper. As far as I know I'm the only LCO doing this type of advertising in the area.
