  • Service Agreement questions.

Hey guys well I guess you've heard this a bunch of times, but I'm also wanting to get started in the lawn care biz. My question is do most of you use a written contract and is it usually for one year. And if it is for one year do you just bill monthly? Also if it is agreed you will mow weekly do you let the homeowner decide when to stop coming as often or do you make that decision when the time arrives?

Look back at the previous posts about a month ago there is alot of talk about using service agreements vs. not using agreements.

I have a service agreement that I pulled from this site and I just modified it to my business. I set my agreement for one year with my big accounts, but not all of my smaller only some. In my service agreement I state that to discontinue service II request a 30day notice, and if not I reserve the right to charge for one month of regualr lawn service.

I have not had any complaints and I also bill my clients on a monthly basis unless they rather pay when the job is done. I make as flexible for them as possible.
