  • what to charge?

I have to bid a property to kill off all grass in front and back yard. They want only bark and no living matter at all. They don't want to take care of any yard work. Anyways, I figured about putting the blade on my 21" push and thatching the stuff out of the lawn. Charging $60 For front and $60 for back. Includes disposal of debris. Using some sort of killer that sterilizes the soil for 5 years. (monobor chloride?) Charging $80 for that includes front and back. $50 a yard for bright medium bark. Using 9 yrds of that. Total would come to $650. Does that seem right? The yard is very small and easy to get to front and back. Thank You, Jason

I would be very careful with soil sterilants with that life span. What if the client changes their mind next year or two? What about water issues?
Jeeps are like women.....much more fun with their TOPS OFF!

No problem ... just mow the grass extra short, leave only an inch or so above ground ... rake up cut grass, apply Roundup on grassed areas, then cover the area in mulch ... try to sell them a weed control program pre and post applications.
