Whatever you buy - if you are not the most mechanically handy person and will need a professional to make repairs make sure to check out the service department. Make sure they give good and fast service repairs.

When I started I bought new equipment so I knew how it was taken care of from day 1. The place I bought my exmark equipment had a policy that if they could not fix my equipment quickly, they would loan me a similar piece of equipment for free as long they were doing the repairs. Also new equipment will have a warranty.

    Best of luck.

        For the price,

the BadBoy line looks good. I did a 24K overseeding job last week for a guy who bought a 60" Badboy. He likes his lawn toys. I'm impressed with the machine and it looks every bit as good as my 61" Scag Turf Tiger. I had never heard of the line until I met the guy.

My Scag Turf Tiger came close to catching fire 2 yrs ago because the idiot lawn crew never blew out the grass around the engine.

Grease/oil/ and grass are great fuel next to a hot engine on any machine. It might not be the fault of the brand, but human error. :alien::alien::alien:
