My computor sounds like a small compressor running at times with an air cooled fan system. Is there a cure for this?

Those older DOS computers do wear out. If you find an old computer junk pile, You may be able to salvage a new-used fan motor for your Texas Instrument that isn't as noisy.
Good Luck.

There might be something near the fan or wrapped around it. Maybe dog hair or something like that.
I suppose you could take the back off and check it out.
I'm certainly not a computer guru as you know. But I had an old Sony making a louder than normal sound a couple years ago. There was a lot of dust in that area after I opened it up. It went away after I stuck the shop vac nozzle up in there!a.k.a.---> Erich
