It sounds likely. I need to get a current router because the linksys I used on an XP laptop is not supported for use on Vista. That's fine as I should go to 802.11G anyway or is it 1.21 jigawatts. Anyway, my point is maybe they just won't jive.

Try this-go to start/all programs/control panel/hardware and sound/play cd's or other media automatically..oh wait I'm on vista but maybe xp has the same settings in the same area, worded differently?

There may be a setting in there that your computer is doing automatically as it brings the files in or transfers them?
I`v played with those settings before but do you have any idea what would i set it to other then what it is set too as of now?????

To burn an audio cd from mp3 files use Nero burning rom.

Click on the cd tab then click the audio button (it's a musical note) then click make an audio cd.

Then just follow the prompts for is so easy even a cave man could do it.

I`v been reading reviews about nero 7 and people seem dissatisfied with it....

lots of complaints from numerous people saying not to waste the money because it doesnt work as good as older versions plus they all say it slowed down their computers to the speed of a slug.....

I definitely dont want to install anything that's gonna slow things down so do you have any advice on which disk to get if i can find an older version????

She plays it fine mm.... Recording it was another story though...

I was able to download it , play on the computer and even burn the Whatever ????? MPU file i believe to a CD ...The problem is it only showed up as something like 40 bytes and definitely wouldn't play in anything as far as CD players in the car or home.....

In my windows real player which it plays on when i dragged it over to the list to be burned and then clicked burn a message popped up saying no music files contained in this file / folder....

I dont know what i was listening too but it sounded like music:laughing:

Anyway i did kinda capture it by useing the audio out plug on the front of my tower and splice in some RCA plugs on the other end and plug them into my standalone CD-R player / recorder that iv had since way back in 2000...

I played it back through the computer and cobbled RCA wiring setup , and hit record on the stand-alone pioneer PDR-W739 player /recorder and it kicked out a CD of what i wanted which now works just fine in everything....

This also allows me to listen to youtube videos and other crap through my 15 inch woofer based 100+ watt pr channel stereo system so now i can hear things i originally couldn't through the little baby speakers supplies with the computer

It also works out good for now because it also allows me to lift any songs that i like off my set of DVD movie collection i`v burned over the years via DVD X COPY and lets me make CD`s with only the songs i want instead of buying a commercial Cd for 1 song when the rest are garbage.... A lot of the movie soundtracks are full of top 100 music so i`v burned a lot of custom Music CD`s this way....

I dont know why the 1 song in particular wouldn't read or burn , but im guessing the site i may have found it from had some kinda digital copy protection on it as i never had computer copy problems in the past and had burned 100`s of songs and backups of already acquired CD`s with my sonic Software....

I believe running it over and playing through the stand alone unit converted whatever format it was to a analog file which was readable and then burnable because since then i`v thrown that CD back in the computer and made backups useing some simple sonic software that came with the computer...

Anyway like you said i read up on the new Nero software when i originally had the problem and when i did a search on it everyone who installed it and posted a review said they took it back off because it slowed there computers down to slug mode and that was somthing i wasn't willing to risk....

Thanks for the reply mm ,
