for some reason I'm picturing a guy with a pocket protector sitting in a fairly nice home office with large framed certificates of some sort hanging on the wall. Lava lamp in the corner of the room, a very old rubik's cube on the corner of the desk and a couple bobble heads on the shelf?

              How'd I do?

the protectors are in the the corner, shotgun and rifle with a pistol and some serious knives within arms reach. no certificates, no lava lamp, and no bobble heads on the shelf. i do have a nice chair i sit in like one of them executive types would have and i guess a gotta somewhat nice machine with a nice monitor to play with. steve-o leads the simple life.

Sorry I must have missed this thread.

What Scott said might work, but that's actually the hard way to do it. Talk about making amountain out of a mole hill. Geeze.

Try this, get your program CD and then reinstall QB on the new hard drive then try to access your profile from the old one.

                  That's what I would do.

P.S. - don't let Scott get away with making fun of your backup system. He's had a digital camera for many years and just recently figured out what a memory card reader was!
