i've been looking hard at the quick 36, but was wondering after a day's mowing, wouldn't you get tired of turning it compared to a exmark or toro which turns by sqeezing a handle? How hard is the quick 36 to turn with a sulky? I don't want a mower that will wear me out more than needed.

The Q36" uses a Single Drive hydro w/differential, it will wear you out less than a Toro or eXmark belt drive. A Dual Drive hydro eXmark or Toro will be more maneuverable than the Q36", however it will cost twice as much. This is a case of Good, Better and Best and how much you are willing to spend.

Jack, if you'd make more posts like that people would ride you less. That was quick, informative, and to the point, and sans the attitude found in most of your posts.

Please note that a Toro T-Bar Dual Drive Hydro is no better than the Single Drive/Differential Q36" Drive system.
If one wishes to experience the freedom of twin pumps and wheel motors one must purchase a unit w/twin levers such as the Tracer or Tracerhp's on the eXmark ECS units. Toro T-Bar Hydros are Junk.

i would love to be able to tell you to go with exmark as that is what i have. i have the hydro and it is great. until somebody that has used both the quick 36 and the belt drive answers this thread then you are on your own. go with what you can afford and one that has good dealer support if you have a problem.i think jack d gave you a good answer. his answers while sometimes are alittle sarcastic, are very informative most of the time.Originally posted by newyardmoweri guess the real question is would i be better off buying a quick 36 or a exmark belt drive. I can get a exmark for 2750, but i don't know if it will be worth the extra money than a quick 36.

I operate both hydro and belt WB mower's, plus the Quick36. The Quick36 IMO is easy to operate than a belt, Quick36 weight is @ 294 as with belt WB mower's weight 400 pounds on up. Turning the Quick36 takes very little effort using the mower to do the turns and going in reverse using the thumb reverse control lever is a plus compared to a belt. When I first got the Quick36, I used the Quick36 all day, three days in a row to see how it operated and I was not worn out after each day. Ya, that was alot of walking, but if I to keep going, no problem. With all the features you get with this mower for the cost, it is worth the money. Try using the search button and you will find alot of information on the Quick36. If I can be of more help, PM me or ask away on this thread.
