    Hey
I'm looking at buying a 21" walk behind mower. What do you guys think about Troy-Bilt? They have a nice one with oversize rear tires, which would be good for me here in the mountains since the terrain isn't flat.

I have a couple of pieces of Troy-Built equipment for around the house, including a 30 yr old tiller... I like them all. The only thing is none of them have hour meters, but you can get little digital ones for around 15 bucks.

Personally If i were you i would look at a TORO personal pace that sells for about 379. Its a residential grade but ive used one alot and it seems to hold up well the drive system is simple so it doesnt really wear out besides replacing a belt.. STill starts on the second pull everytime about 250 hrs later. You can cut very fast with it because it allows you to speed up and slow down as you need by just walking with it. Cuts mowing time by about 1/3 vs a regular self propelled. If you want to go commerical i would also recomend the TORO commercial 21 inch which is closer to the 900 to 1k range. Cant cut as fast but it will still move and it will last for sure. Just so you guys know the personaly pace i have has a techumseh engine on it and it should be comparable to a briggs which i know a non commercial briggs engine is built to last about 1000 hrs

I have a Troy Built mower that I use regularly. I keep it on one of my trailers along with another commercial Lawn Boy. It is about 6years old starts and runs like new and does a great job mulching.

hi, I've found that if your bagging the new honda HRC's are pretty darn good. My dealer is getting the new years model with some cool modifications that should give it a boost compared to the competitotors. It's gonna run you $1000 bucks but should be competly touble free for 2 years under commercial use. After that it makes a realiable back up. I plan on buying a new model HRC mid april. Here in washington Honda is by far the leading 21" mower for commercial use.
