  • Gravely 48" Pro G walk behind

hey i recently bought a new Gravely 48" Pro G walk behind mower belt drive and have had trouble with it mowing on hills and the wheels slipping etc. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You should be able to adjust the tension on the belts. I had an Exmark mower that did the same thing. A simple adjustment cured the problem. Check your owners manual for how to make this adjustment. It is usually really simple.

BTW, I almost forgot. Make sure that the transmission belt is tensioned correctly as well. This can also cause uphill slipping.

Do you like the new gravely, i have an older ( around 1998) gravely pro 36 and i like it. I have a gravely dealer close by, i was wondering if you would reconmend staying with gravely. How does it stipe, mow it wet grass, etc... thanks!
