I just got under bid on a 15+ acre job, The guy that got it bid $18.00 per acre/ cut. I checked with local town office a buddy is the controller . He showed me contracts that his town have signed at $47.00/acre/cut.
Is this guy buying the job or am I missing something. This is my first try at large contract bidding .Im using a 7' woods finishing mower and 30hp tractor
I figure easycutting at 2 acres/hour. HELP

We have guys do that all the time around here on State/county/city bids. Then a couple months into the season they try to renegotiate the contract or get out of it. What they fail to realize is that the only way out is to find a replacement or to sub it out.
