  • Robin engines???

Neighbor wants to trade an old Gravely w/b w/Robin engine. Looks OLD but runs great and cuts even better. Never heard of a Robin. My part of this trade is an old outboard I never use anyways so what do you think? How hard will it be to repair/get parts for is my main concern.

I have a Robin hedge trimmer and it works fine. I also have a robin on the permagreen and it is fine (a little hard to start if cold). I have never had to get parts, but zrobin is affiliated with Subaru, so parts should not be too hard to come by.

Ron Howard: Is that... vodka... and wheat grass?
Homer: It's called a "lawnmower". I invented it. Want one?

I had a makita b/p blower and I thought it was basically a robin. Some replacement parts were labeled robin. I've seen their engine on Ariens mowers also.

Robin is actually a great engine. My uncle used to own/operate a snapper dealership and he really liked the robin engines. They are or were part of fuji heavy duty industries, and I believe they are a japanese engine, although they are probably assembled in the states now days. Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
