I have a Stihl handheld blower and last fall invested in the Redmax 7001 backpack blower. Greatest tool I ever got. I do use Stihl trimmer & edger, plus a chainsaw thats over 20 years old, original Stihl made in Germany. Works great. I would definately consider the Redmax blower. It is better than the Stihl.

My stihl FS 80 is about the strogest you will ever need unless you just like to cut down pine trees with a weed eater

I wouldn't buy stihl or echo. If you want the best then buy RedMax, Shindiawa, Kawasaki. I have a RedMax EB7001 b/p blower, RedMax BCZ2600s trimmer, Kawasaki KTR27A trimmer, and Stihl BG85 hand held blower. Even though the Stihl h/h blower does a good job there's no way I would trade in the RedMax b/p blower for one of Stihls. I demoed the Shindi b/p blower, and was very impressed. Very comparable in power and reliability to the RedMax.

Like Work It said, get the RedMax.

In my books, Echo and Stihl don't compare.
