  • cub cadet m48, add on's, and things.

I just purchased a used cub cadet m48 tank and i'm looking at trying to find some accsessories like maybe the electric deck lift, or the side baggers. Also i guess another question would be, can and where could you find a place to purchase a bigger deck, not the 60, just like a 54". I'm not sure if you can do that but i would have no use for 2 Z's, but i could put the bigger lawns on the same day that way i could switch to a bigger deck to save time.

I've had the deck off my 60" tank, and it was'nt that easy to put back on. I would think you would have to possibly change a belt too. I have mowers from 36" to 72", and I can just about cut anyplace with my 72 that I can cut with my 36, other then getting thru a gate. I guess what I'm saying is if I could only have one size mower, it probably would be a 60", then I would never think about switching decks.
As far as a deck lift your cub dealer can get you one.

If I remember right they did not offer a larger deck for that model. I think it has the 19 hp engine and might be under powered for the larger deck. As far as the deck lift and bagger you might have to get with the Cub Dealer to see what is available. It doesn't seem that you should need more than the manual lift for the 48" deck it should be fairly easy to lift. I have 2 M54 Tanks and they have the manual lifts. They aren't too bad. I am not sure of the 60 or 72 inch decks.

The 60" is'nt bad to lift either, 72" alittle more. I do know the 60/72 have a foot assist, does the 48"?

actually maybe i should just go with the foot assist. i just like to be able to raise the deck for humps and things so that i don't scalp, but for some reason it seems hard to pull and steer at the same time.

the deck comes off with one lever and 5 pins, i just figured i'd be nice to have a bigger deck or so, and still 1 machine. i do agree with a 60" being the perfect size though. i just got a good deal on this one, and am just starting. thanks for all the help.
