  • Toro, ExMark, or John Deere?

I am new to the forum and have been doing alot of reading lately. I am in the market for a ZTR mower. I will be mowing about 8 to 10 acreas with it. In my area the big 3 that you see everybody using are Toro, ExMark, and John Deere. Are you just paying for the green paint with JD and higher repairs? Please give me the plus and minus of each. I have it down to a 52-54" deck and want a 23 hp motor. Please help me out. Also what would you choose Kohler of Kawa? Thanks in advance for the help!

Amen to that. I have a 60" Gravely that is gas and not water cooled and I have several large lots that I cut and I wish I had the Diesel. Kobuta makes a nice one.

        I bought the JD 757

I bought a JD 757. I have only mowed my place once with it, but it rocks. I think I made the right decision. I mow around 2.5 acres out of my 180. It rocks - period.

An Exmark Lazer Z liquid cooled with the 60' and 27-hp Kawasaki would be the stuff.

SCAG offers a slightly better warranty than Ex-Mark. I chose SCAG because of this. Both excellent machines so I choose warranty.
