36" Scag W/B

I am looking at a used 36" Scag with the 12.5 Kawi engine and sulky. It has all new:belts, wires, hoses, & blades. It looks fair. The guy wants $900 for it. Is this a fair price?? Chad

What year & more importantly, how many hours on the machine? I'd say that it would be a good deal, as long as the hours aren't crazy. Scags generally won't let you down & have a great cut. Good luck.

Ii is a 1999, but didn't see a hour meter and the guy had no idea. It looked descent, but used. Chad

It's only 6yrs old, so if it runs good and looks good it's probably worth 900 - especially with the sulky, but I'd offer him less. Work it a little and you could get a peach of a deal and a hell of a rig to work with. Good luck.

I am gonna offer him $850 and see if he'll throw in an extra blades and a couple oil filters. He has $1200 on it, but said he would take $900. What kind of problems should I look for? It had not been started all weekend and he started it withone pull. Chad
