Looking for a new string trimmer for residential use. Want it to be comfortable to use and very reliable/easy to start. Would like to keep price under $300. Some good local deals on Husqvarna (323L and 326L) as well as Kawasaki and Redmax (2400).

I have owned the Husqvana 123L for over two years now, abused the s__t out of it and it starts on the first or second pull every time. I would not hesitate to buy a Husky line trimmer. Well balanced and easy to use. Just ordered the Husky 232L this week. Can't wait to use it.

Get the Husqvarna 326. Well, the 323 purrs pretty good as well. Get some different trimmer line than what they give you. Get the .095 size, and get the square kind. Oh, and get rid of that screen in the muffler.
crclawn, I'm going to order a couple of those big boys shortly. I want to get them because I am worried that they will stop making them like they stopped making their super powerful, classic 225 model. Best trimmer ever made. Heavy, but nothing could compete on power and stability. I would have bought 15 had I known they were being discountinued. They never stop, get beat hard every day and all have lasted for years. Like 10 years.
Where did you order that 232 from?
For what it's worth, the new lighter 300 series Husqvarnas don't seem to need any carb adjustments after a couple weeks worth of use. The older 200 series did need one carb adjustment after about 1 week, but then ran forever.a.k.a.---> Erich

I'm new to trimming but I can tell you I have found the Edgit to be an excellent tool for helping me learn how to trim properly. Its like training wheels for a bike. It's a doohickey that goes on your trimmer. I can't find the website right now.
Oh wait here it is.
