I am pretty much sold on buying a Walker mower for my home use. I thought I'd get some input from the experts before proceeding. Thanks.

What model? I have 3 (2 MDG's gas kubota and a MTL) all with 48" GHS decks, on 56" SD and one 74" SD. In my opinion there is no equivelent to their cut, manuverability and ease to get proficient with. I would highly recomend a speed up pully. They are high maintence machines, but their cut is far superior to anything I've used in the past. Any other questions, ask away.

Ron Howard: Is that... vodka... and wheat grass?
Homer: It's called a "lawnmower". I invented it. Want one?

You'll be very happy.
Further, you won't have the same maintenance issues as Rich mentions as you will only use it 40 times a year, rather than fourty yards a week. (or more)
You likely can do this yourself.GEEVEE®, Pat.Pend. TM, UL
If you're gonna be dumb, you better be tough
