Where to find 5L X 121" belts

I'm trying to find 5L X 121" belts. They fit my Snapper zero turn, and the Snapper dealers want $70.00 for them. I tried a "B" belt on it, but it lasted about five minutes. (The small pulleys' radius tore it up). Anybody know of a good source???

Is it a Kevlar Belt?

The reason that belt cost so much is, it's probably an extra heavy duty Kevlar belt & that makes it cost at least 2 to 3 times as much as a regular automotive belt. Thus the reason a belt that's not an OEM belt will last a very short period of time.

If you must have a belt like that you could probably find one at a industrial supply place or go to one of your larger Real Automotive Parts Houses like NAPA Auto Parts or similar.

I have a Repair Shop & we go though this all the time with customers. We recently put a blade belt on a customers Commercial Kobota Mower & that belt was around a $120.00 & it lasted about 30 minutes due to his gearbox being bad. I told him before we put it on that the belt wouldn't last so now he needs another $120 belt & a $900 gearbox.

Are you sure the OEM belt isn't what we call a Double Sided V Belt? This could be the problem too.

PS: I used to live in Lee County on Old Dawson Road on the Lee County - Terrel County line next to that Big 2 Story Brick House with 4 White Columns. That's where I lived when I had my Lawn Service Business in Albany, JawJa!

I have had this same issue with my 62" Toros. Went thru two aftermarket spindle to spindle belts in no time.

Nor can I find the little 8" dia 4 lug drive wheels for a Toro hydro drive aftermarket.

I have two bald tires and one wheel that looks like junk on the 52" Toro hydro ($870) I purchased this season thus I am going to buy two new wheels and three new tires so I can carry a spare to mount in the bed of my truck.

A visit to my local Toro dealer is about as pleasant as a root canal for he is such a smug and pompous arse.

GM is absolutely correct... I went through 3 $40 belts on my Snapper ZTR in 6 months until we got a Ferris belt that fit. It was $75 and Kevlar wrapped. Has lasted a year and a half and still going. Won't buy a $40 belt anymore.

You have a Fastcut 44" ??? 121" belts are what we use on it.

BTW... Make sure your tension is right... If the belt is slipping off the pulleys then tighten as slipping off is what usually causes them to break.
