I recently traded my older 52in stander (1900 hrs) and some cash for a newer greatdane 52in super surfer (475 hrs). Although I got a much newer mower with much more life in it and no known mechanical issues I thought I'd offer my comparison for those looking at a "stander" model mower.
Wright stander has:
-tighter turning radius
-better center of gravity for hills (holds hills better)
-less bulky both length and width
-greasable spindles
-more user friendly controls
Great dane supersurfer has:
-adjustable deck
-electric start
-much faster
-stripes better
-no hot feet and great shock absorbers on standing platform
-cheaper (for like models of same year)
Overall I like my new mower and hope to be able to use it for a few years while I save for my next mower. All things considered though I will probably go back to the wright stander if I am still using a stander type mower in a few years.
